Postgraduate facilities
The Faculty offers a postgraduate study lounge in the Law Library for research students, a Moot Court for development of professional skills, a postgraduate Law Students Council, and much more.

All UCT students are required to complete this important survey as a critical step in establishing how many students will be able to participate in orientation and remote teaching from 20 April.

Welcome to the School for Advanced Legal Studies

The School for Advanced Legal Studies is the home of postgraduate Law programmes at the University of Cape Town.

Registering with us for your postgraduate Law studies means joining a strong community of legal expertise in a range of areas including - amongst many others - Commercial Law, Taxation, Human Rights, Environmental Law, Refugee Law, and Shipping Law. 

With three Departments in the Faculty, postgraduate students can choose to focus their work in Private Law, Public Law and Commercial Law.
